Molly Gilson

Communications Lead

Molly is the communications lead for Community Offshore Wind and the Director of Media Relations for National Grid Ventures. She and her team are responsible for messaging, media relations, and thought leadership. She is passionate about telling clean energy and community investment stories, aligning with the priorities of Community Offshore Wind.

She joined National Grid Ventures after spending four years on the regulated side of National Grid on the US Corporate Communications team. During her time with National Grid, she has been focused on communicating the company’s ambition to reach net zero by 2050, how the business is enabling energy equity, and how renewables will work together in the Northeast to create a clean energy future. She also served as the lead communications manager for the US President of the business.

Molly has worked in communications for 15 years across a number of industries including energy, technology, travel and tourism, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Indiana University and a Master of Arts in gastronomy from Boston University. She is a graduate of National Grid’s Accelerated Development Program and an APMG International-certified change management professional. She resides outside of Boston in Acton, MA, but originally hails from Indiana and New York.
